Indian head massage, or “Champi” in Hindi, is an ancient Indian form of massage where the head, shoulders, neck and face are massaged with the purpose of manipulating energy channels and clearing energy blocks said to create ailments.  It is based on the ancient healing system of Ayurveda where acupressure points called Marma points are massaged and activated to restore balance.

Traditionally, specific oils were used according to your dosha (body type) but today the use of oil is optional. This delightful and therapeutic treatment is a pleasant way to relieve headaches, stress and tension or to simply promote hair and scalp health or a general sense of well being.
